Hard to think of anything witty to say right now. Or something relatable. Uh…my musical tastes are expanding, I guess?

For @notenoughapples‘ birthday today in two days (and man did I almost miss it) (hey actually, I’m early), I’ve made his character Capillary. Let’s go over details. The cutie mark is…experimental. Good? I just did the wavy hand gesture meaning “meh” IRL. To myself. That’s how I feel about it. The tail is nice, as the design of it was pretty easy to replicate. Man, I like that wavy, curvy shape. The hair I decided to go also go experimental with. Unlike the cutie mark, though, I can say this turned out really well. I love it, and it’s not often I try and use more round, smooth pieces for manes. Damn, it looks nice. The necklace is okay, but without much to work with for small accessories, I guess that’s to be expected. For a character shot, since I did that part nearing my bedtime (because getting up at 4 AM requires some amount of sleep), I kind of rushed and gave her a nurse cap, since she’s a nurse.

She’ll cure you of stepped-on-lego-itis!

Thank you, Chuck! This will make a fine addition to my legopone collection!

After spending three hours hurting myself last night with Hotline Miami 2, I decided to start this build instead when I realized the pain was too much.

This is @notenoughapplesPeanut. The cutie mark, for as not-peanut-y as it looks, is fairly good, I’d say. I’ve got the general positions of the nuts down, so I’d give it a pass. The tail was good, but when my bud @tenenbris suggested I thin it out, it came out looking great. Good eye, my man. Her hair was a bit of a struggle to figure out, but what I’ve got it to is alright. Seeing as individual lego bricks can’t be multi-colored, her tie isn’t as accurate as I’d like it to be, but it works. For character shots, I get this vibe Peanut is some type of nuts salesmare, so there she is with her suitcase ready to go out and sell.

Peanut block pone! Heck yeah! Thanks, Chuck. You made me realize that I need to draw her again.

This is one of my Valentine’s Day lego posts. While normal people are out fucking their significant others, I’m here doing this. It’s funner by leagues.

So, this is @notenoughapples‘ ponysona Apples, and @rosy-maple-monogram‘s ponysona Starstruck Symphony, being a cute couple together because Valentine’s Day. I don’t have much else flavor text for this one, so let’s get to my commentary on the builds, because I know you love that. Apples? Fucking amazing. I love this build, and think of it as one of my better ones, especially ironic considering I thought I’d fuck up his hair a lot. But hey, look at that, it’s good looking. I can’t very well say the same for the cutie mark, though. The complex ones really kill me, guys. At least it’s…viewable? If you looked at the original cutie mark first, anyways. Otherwise it looks like random shapes. The tail’s nice except for that little swirl, which I really wish I could make better. Without enough space, though, I wasn’t given much choice, but it’s not a bad little decal in the tail. And dude, that fucking jacket. I didn’t know how to tackle it, but look at it. It’s great.

As for Starstruck. Well Rosy, I don’t mean to hurt your feelings, but I don’t think I did too greatly on this one. The motto around here, though, is “if the creator’s happy, I did my job right”. That doesn’t mean I can’t complain about where I failed, though. I’d like to say that the limitations of lego shines brightly here. Due to the right shoulder and wing on Starstruck, I wasn’t able to even make the hair correctly. As you can see in that ref, Starstruck’s hair should be way longer. This is a flaw that I could not find any way around, so I’m going to probably cry myself to sleep tonight for not being able to fix it. Maybe Starstruck just got a haircut. As for the other parts that don’t give me aneurysms, the beanie’s…eh, it’s decent, I guess. Probably looks more like that hat Sportacus wears than anything, but it does its job. The tail looks good, and the cutie mark is something I’m pretty proud of, actually. Again, due to the limitations of lego, I had to improvise and make a smaller scaled butterfly. What came out was pretty good. Maybe that’ll reduce a few tears.

Anyways, happy Valentine’s Day, Apples and Rosy. Have fun and don’t get hurt you crazy kids.

We did it, babe. We’re finally lego.

(I love it!)

Niiiice. I’ve always wanted to be a lego!

it's rad!  thanks!  gift art  chuckorjerkface
